How to add images to your product cards using the Chrome extension or manual upload when automatic image fetching does not work.
Capture product images
When automatic image fetching does not work — for example on B2B supplier sites or password-protected pages — you can add images to your product cards in two ways: the Chrome extension or manual upload.
Method 1: Chrome Extension (recommended)
The Unload extension lets you capture images directly from any supplier website, without downloading and re-uploading files.
Install the extension
Download Unload - Image Capture from the Chrome Web Store. No extra setup needed — the extension automatically connects to your Unload session.
Start capture from Unload
On the Products page, open a product card thumbnail. Click the Capture Images button. Unload automatically opens the supplier's website in a new tab and activates the extension.
Hover and capture (Pinterest-style)
A purple status bar appears at the top of the page. Hover over any product image: a camera button appears in the top-right corner of the image. Click it to capture.
- White flash: confirms the capture
- Counter: the status bar shows "1 image", "2 images", etc.
- You can capture multiple images from the same page
Capture price and title (optional)
The status bar has two extra buttons:
- Price: automatically extracts the price from the page (from JSON-LD or Open Graph structured data)
- Title: extracts the product title
This metadata is sent along with the image and updates your card if the fields are empty.
Images arrive on your card
Each captured image is instantly sent to your product card in Unload via the addImageToCard Cloud Function. You can check the images in the product detail panel.
Stop capture
Close the status bar by clicking X, press Escape, or simply close the tab.
Method 2: Manual upload
Open the product detail panel
From the Products page, click a product card to open its detail panel. Go to the Images section.
Upload your images
Click the Upload button and select one or more images from your computer. Images are added immediately to the product card.
The extension requires no sensitive permissions — it does not collect any browsing data. It only activates when you explicitly click "Capture Images" from Unload.
All images (captured or uploaded) are automatically analyzed by Gemini Vision to generate SEO-optimized alt text.
Maximum file size: 10 MB (extension) or 7 MB (manual upload). Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF.
