Transfer to Shopify
Send your finished products from Unload to your Shopify store, with duplicate detection and multiple transfer modes.
Transfer products to Shopify
Once your product cards are complete -- titles, descriptions, prices, images, and variants all reviewed -- you can publish them to your Shopify store in a single operation. Unload automatically detects duplicates and lets you choose how to handle each one.
Make sure Shopify is connected
Before your first transfer, your Shopify store must be connected. Go to Settings > Integrations and verify that your store appears as connected.
Select products to transfer
On the Products page, check the products you want to send. Use filters and search to narrow down the list if needed.
Click "Send to Shopify"
Click the "Send to Shopify" button in the selection toolbar. Unload checks all selected products against your Shopify store for duplicates (matching by SKU, handle, or title).
Handle duplicates
If Unload finds matching products on your store, a resolution modal appears. For each match, choose a transfer mode:
- Create: Creates a brand new product on Shopify, even if a similar one exists. Use this when the products are truly different despite similar names.
- Update: Replaces selected fields on the existing Shopify product. You choose which fields to update (title, description, price, images, SEO). Stock is NOT modified.
- Add Stock (Restock): Keeps the existing product unchanged and only adds quantities to current inventory. Ideal for restocking from a new invoice.
- Complete: Fills in only empty fields on the Shopify product and adds missing images and stock. Does not overwrite existing data. Useful for progressively enriching a product.
- Link: Connects the Unload card to the existing Shopify product without making any changes. Useful for referencing a product that is already up to date.
- Skip: Does not transfer this product.
The modal shows the match type (exact SKU, handle, approximate title) with a confidence score.
Track progress
After confirmation, the transfer runs in the background. A progress widget appears at the bottom of the screen showing how many products have been processed. You can continue working while the transfer completes.
Verify on Shopify
Open your Shopify admin and navigate to Products. Your transferred products appear with all information populated. Newly created products arrive in Draft status so you can review them before publishing.
The "Add Stock" mode is especially useful when you receive a new invoice for products already in your store. Import the invoice, then transfer with "Add Stock" to update inventory without touching descriptions or images.
The "Update" mode replaces the selected fields on Shopify -- the previous values will be overwritten. Double-check which fields you have selected before confirming.
