A complete overview of the Unload workflow, from uploading supplier documents to publishing products on Shopify.
How Unload works
Unload turns supplier invoices and product sheets into complete, store-ready Shopify listings. The entire process follows three stages: Import, Enrich, and Transfer.
Import: Upload your supplier documents
Open Imports and drag your files into the dropzone, or click it to choose them; if another import is on screen, click "New import" first. You can also drop a file anywhere on the page. Unload accepts PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, TXT, JSON and images (iPhone photos included), up to 50 MB per file, as well as links to product pages.
While your files are sent, choose "How product cards are split", "Auto-fetch images" and, if needed, "Job instructions" to guide the AI (for example, "prices are in USD" or "ignore accessories").
Click "Create product cards": the AI reads every page, extracts titles, descriptions, prices, variants and images, then creates your product cards. Follow the progress in the list of imports; once your files are sent, you can leave the page.
Enrich: Review and polish your products
Navigate to Products in the sidebar. You will see all extracted products displayed in a responsive grid. Click any product to open its detail panel on the right side, where you can edit the title, description, and price directly.
Use the Studio to clean up product photos in batch. The Studio can remove backgrounds, reframe images, and apply a uniform style (background color, aspect ratio) so every listing looks consistent.
If images are missing, install the Unload Chrome extension to capture photos and metadata directly from your supplier's website.
Transfer: Send products to Shopify
Select the products you want to publish and click "Transfer" in the toolbar (the button shows how many products go to your store). Unload transfers titles, descriptions, prices, variants, images, SEO metadata, and ALT text in a single operation.
If a product already exists in your Shopify store, the duplicate detection modal gives you options for each match: create a new product, update specific fields on the existing product, add to stock, or skip entirely.
The whole process replaces hours of manual data entry. For an invoice of 50 products, Unload estimates 8 to 35 minutes to create the cards; once your files are sent, you can leave the page.
What your plan includes
Unload uses monthly subscription plans. Each plan includes a quota of product sheets per month, and a product sheet counts only when you publish it to your store. Importing files, AI enrichment and image fetching are included in every plan; the photo Studio comes with the Pro plan and above. See the Settings > Billing page for your current plan and usage.
